It's not everyday you hear of a brewery asking people to submit their animals into an adventure pet contest to get illustrated onto a beer can. And yet, somehow last summer I came upon that very thing when fumbling through the depths of the internet.
Obviously the only logical thing for me to do next was to enter this little sass pants.
So I did.
And then as soon as voting opened I took to the internet and every single day plastered a different photo of her and link to vote on my social media as a reminder.
I may or may not have gone as far as re-downloading all the dating apps I've been on, messaged all the matches I've ever gotten, asking them for a favor and then sending them the link to vote when they said they'd be willing to help me out.
Some say I practically willed this into existence with the extent of my resourcefulness.. but.. boys of dating apps, moms of Facebook, and all the trusty fans she has on Instagram.. ya'll did it.
I mean, c'mon, who wouldn't have voted for this face.
Did I absolutely cry when I saw this? Yes. Yes I did.
The said they were sending me a print.. then this thing showed up.. I'm just adding it to the shrine of things I already have for this pup.
She hated me for this but we did it for the 'gram.
The man who immortalized my pup for always. Check out his other amazing work.
"The Devils Backbone Brewing Company is a brewpub located in Roseland, Virginia, owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev. It was established in 2008 by Steven Crandall. In 2012, a 15,000 square foot production facility and tap room, referred to as "The Outpost", was established near Lexington, Virginia."
She may not have made it to the actual magazine, but some would argue that being in an article even on their website is enough to brag about. So that's what I'm doing.
